As of 2025, the FDA approved SPRAVATO® as a monotherapy, meaning your insurance may cover it even if you aren't taking an antidepressant.
Because of the potential side effects of SPRAVATO®, including dizziness and nausea, the drug can only be administered at clinics certified in the SPRAVATO® Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS).
